My little business "Mavora" is named after a group of lakes in New Zealand. I met my husband on the North Island and NZ will always hold a special place in my heart. If you have a chance to visit, do it! It holds amazing sites, tramping (backpacking), and people.
Mavora Art and Design started about five years ago with a vision of my husband and I and a passion for nature and art. We wanted to do something creative and we wanted to make a difference with our talents. Although it started with photography it’s gotten way out of hand now as I taught myself graphic and web design. I multi-task well, working from home with our preschooler and new baby. My husband Tim is still involved, he is the photography specialist as well as the money man - not to mention he cooks a lot of dinners and always cheers me on! We support World Vision with some of our products and the goal as we grow is to give away what we can to help others worldwide.
A lot of our papers are recycled and we recycled all of the paper waste made in the process of creating our goods.
