I'm officially on maternity leave! All my clients are taken care of and I am focusing on the nursery, redoing the address book, and sleeping! Well I guess I'm still technically working on a friend's wedding extras, my church's website, and my Dad's business brochures...but still, it's less then usual and I get to feel like a bit of a slacker. I'm sharing my pink roses from my 30th birthday. They're still going strong after a week and the pink is exciting my soul for the coming baby girl!
I forgot about the ole "carve a hole in a book" thing. Always fun, it can be quite a romantic gesture if you do it right - as this Etsy seller does. Maybe you want to make one of your own or buy one of her's for Valentine's Day. I need to get cracking on the romance ideas over here. This will be my 5th valentine's day with Tim and we've been slacking lately.
28 weeks pregnant - happy to work from home so I can nap whenever I want - well within reason. My first pregnancy being a secretary was not as fun.
I'm not a portrait person. I do photography but I have more skills in the artistic computer design side then the photography of people with the posing and the lighting and the smiling. Tim fortunately can take pictures of anything and anyone even though he'd also say it's not his forte. The problem is people need pictures of themselves! It's a great service and now that more and more people know Tim and I CAN do it they ask us to. We usually say yes - like I said it's a valid, much needed service! This last Sunday we offered to take family pictures for any family that couldn't afford "real" photography. We did it after church right across the street - which happens to be quite pretty - and we had 5 families take us up on the offer. As usual I did the "look here little baby!" shouting and Tim did the shutter speed thing. They were all so happy we shared our meager skills and we were blessed to be able to help. We will never be portrait photographers by profession but God has given us some skills and it's good to use them for His glory! What skills do you have that you can use to help others? Even if you're not perfect at it - give it a try!
